Arizona HOSA Spring Leadership Conference

Congratulations to our Health Occupation and Sports Medicine Chapters of HOSA. AFter months and months of fundraising and studying and preparing for state, we finally made it...and we ROCKED IT!  Here are a few pictures of our trip and competition.
Once we got into town, we all got dressed up and headed to Opening Session at the DoubleTree Grand Ballroom

Jose and Glenda trying to convince Betsy that she will survive and maybe even enjoy her first trip away from home!

Our sister chapter of HOSA at Kofa rivaled us all year in fundraising and students going to competition.  They all did a great job and made Ms. Negron and Ms. Hoover very proud.

Andrea, Yaritza, Selene, Yalitza getting a little nervous? :)

YARITZA TOOK 3RD PLACE IN NUTRITION COMPETITION...QUALIFIED FOR HOSA'S NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AT DISNEYLAND in ANAHEIM, CA!  WAY TO GO, YARITZA!

Alex placed 5th in Medical Spelling, Yaritza 3rd in Nutrition, and Kim took 4th in Medical Terminology!  We are so so proud of our winners! Great job everyone!

MOVIE NIGHT!

SPORTS MEDICINE/HOSA CLUB is hosting a FREE MOVIE NIGHT!  We are showing "Despicable Me" in the Kings Pride Gym at 6:30pm today (February 24th, 2011).  We will be selling movie concessions as a fundraiser.  Bring your pillows, blankets, lawn chairs, etc. and claim your spot early! General admission seating in this drive-in style movie event!  Pictures to follow!

We also hosted a Peter Piper Pizza takeover last night, and we're waiting for our final total fundraised for that event.  Students handed out flyers to friends and family to encourage them to come eat with us that evening, and our club will take 15% of those proceeds.  All our fundraising this semester is in an effort to pay for our kids going to the STATE HOSA COMPETITION!  Thanks for your support!
