SPORTS MEDICINE/HOSA CLUB is hosting a FREE MOVIE NIGHT! We are showing "Despicable Me" in the Kings Pride Gym at 6:30pm today (February 24th, 2011). We will be selling movie concessions as a fundraiser. Bring your pillows, blankets, lawn chairs, etc. and claim your spot early! General admission seating in this drive-in style movie event! Pictures to follow!
We also hosted a Peter Piper Pizza takeover last night, and we're waiting for our final total fundraised for that event. Students handed out flyers to friends and family to encourage them to come eat with us that evening, and our club will take 15% of those proceeds. All our fundraising this semester is in an effort to pay for our kids going to the STATE HOSA COMPETITION! Thanks for your support!

This week we talked about Emergency Action Plans and having plans in place for the unpredictable events in athletics. You got to play around with some of our vital equipment, should there be an emergency: AEDs and Vacuum Splints. Here are the pics, enjoy!
Next week, we'll start exploring legal issues in sports medicine.
